Drumroll Day

Today is international Drumroll day. That time of the year when you take some time of your busy schedules to remember each and every drumroll that has been heard till date the world over. World leaders, politicians, celebrities, homeopathy Doctors and proprietors of Driving schools celebrate this day as pompously as Lalit Modi celebrates the I-Pee-El.
Then again the rationale of the reader is racked by the obvious query, "Why the heck are we celebrating a day for drumrolls??".."Are they really so important??..Or could it just be the chimerical brainchild of one who's in a theine induced prolonged delirium??!!". Ah.!! Whatever..stop thinkin like a retard and keep reading this..!!
Drumrolls have been around right from the dawn of civilization. They have witnessed the rise and fall of many a great Kingdom. They have been the harbingers of magnanimous rulers as well as the heralders of Megalomaniacal tyrants. They are the sounds that made the thousands strong crowd in the Collosseum euphoric and instilled horror in the minds of the slaves. The percussions that have the ability to grant life to the most insignificant of statements. And in modern times they are the very same sounds you can hear from the executives travelmate. But who cares??!! it's still a stupid sound..!!
Well, not exactly. Drumrolls are like the default sounds that are built into our mental fabric. We hear drumrolls whenever we have a cool idea or are about to say something awesome. They can be heard just before someone is about to make a glorious statement and ends up saying something really dumb that they'll regret for the rest of there boring-dumb-statementous life.
Drumrolls are also used to ward away evil spirits in remote parts of cambodia where they have entire social stuctures built upon the basic foundation of who can belch as long as the drumroll's sustained. And there's absolutely no denyin there influence in pop culture, the recently dethroned kidlovin King Of "Pop!"..no not the chimp..the Man..err Wom.err whatever..err Micheal Jacko himself..used poor people..poor jobless poor people..the kinda poor people who are fed by charities run by poor people and donations from the society for stray cat castration..from third world countries with Loots and loots f drums to do drumrolls for his video "They don't care about us". And sure as hell he was right..no one cares about them..not even him..not even Bubbles. Drumrolls have influenced our lives so much that we even invented words like..rolling thunder..Drum Rock'n'Roll..HumDrumroll etc etc.
But then again the fact remains blatant disrgard for the meekly mighty sound that is the drumroll. No one to contrive an international day for them but a delirious author in a theine induced stupor.
Van Gogh used to hear drumrolls too..too much i guess..he cut off his earlobe..Crazy dude..!!
